Resolution is the number of dots per inch or dots per millimeter on the print width of the print head. The resolution is the inherent property of the print head and is determined by the photo masking layer used during manufacturing. The distribution of resolution has obvious clustering, as shown in the rows in the following table. The 200 dpi and 300dpi groups include most print heads actually produced. These two resolutions can satisfy most applications, and their economy is favored in new applications. The columns in the table show the resolution of each print head series. In each print head series, existing ceramic wafers can only provide certain print line widths.
